THE BYRE on the south side of The Victorian Barn is a modern barn conversion and is situated in the grounds of a 65 acre farm in the Blackmore Vale below Bulbarrow Hill, the second highest point in Dorset.
The Byre is a ground floor apartment graded 4* by the ETB. It is a delightful property, originally built in 1849 and restored in 2009 offering luxury accommodation with 2 large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a spacious open plan lounge/ dining area with fully equipped kitchen.
This property sleeps 4 with 1 double room and 1 twin room all with ensuite bathrooms.
The Byre has a patio and BBQ area with garden furniture plus large lawned area for games.
We are pleased to be able to offer complimentary superfast broadband up to 5Gb/s, usage above this will incur a small charge.
Facilities include a superb communal indoor heated Leisure pool with gym, sauna, outside hot tub, games room and outdoor children’s play area. Enjoy the peace and quiet at our private coarse fishing lakes stocked with mirror/common carp and silverfish.

Try and make the trip to Brownsea Island, a fabulous nature reserve here. Inland on your holiday in Dorset you can enjoy the rolling hills that are so characteristic of the county and explore what has become known as “Thomas Hardy Country”.
The county town of Dorchester, with its High Street lined with 17th and 18th Century houses, is little changed from Hardy’s day, while the pretty town of Shaftesbury has been used as a location in countless films set in Olde England.
